What are user-defined tools?
User-defined tools (UDTs) let you describe your own tool in a short YAML document, right in the Galaxy interface — point it at a container, declare its inputs and outputs, then run it like any other Galaxy tool, workflows included. Nobody has to install anything for you, and your tools stay private to your account unless you share them. It's still a beta feature, which is why access is granted per account rather than being on for everyone. Read the user-defined tools documentation for what they can do and where the limits are.

Every other Galaxy server decides on user-defined tools for itself — if you work on one of those,
ask its administrators instead.
